Top 15 Things to Do in Las Vegas During the Day

People may come to Las Vegas to party the night away, but don’t underestimate the fun to be had in Vegas during the daytime.

On any given day on the strip, and in the area surrounding the city — Grand Canyon anyone? — there are dozens of activities to keep you entertained until sundown. Check out our list of 15 great things to do in Las Vegas during the day!

#15: Go To A Las Vegas Show

This is a must for any first time Vegas traveler. From comedy magic shows to the elaborate Cirque du Soleil®, Las Vegas has a show for everybody.

Some of our personal staff favorites are: Any of the Cirque du Soleil show (8 different shows), Absinthe (Caesar’s Palace), Jersey Boys (Venetian), Blue Man Group (Monte Carlo), and Le Reve (Wynn)

Book through VegasParty VIP for discounted tickets.

#14: Check out the Chihuly Flowers at The Bellagio Hotel

The flowers at the Bellagio Hotel may not excite your nostrils but they will take your breath away.

The hotel’s 18-foot ceiling is adorned with an elaborate glass flower chandelier designed by famed glass sculptor Dale Chihuly. 2,000 hand-blown glass blossoms make up the body of the chandelier — called Fiori di Como.

More of Chihuly’s flowers are displayed across the Bellagio, transforming the hotel’s common areas to a museum that has attracted tourists from around the world.

#13: Visit Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum

Ever wonder what Brad Pitt looked like up close? Well at Madame Tussaud’s museum at the Venetian hotel, you can get up close and personal with the stars — or, at least, with the wax version of them.

The museum displays about 100 intricately designed replicas of well-known celebrities that will enthrall you for hours.

#12: Take a trip down the Grand Canal at the Venetian

You don’t have to travel all the way to Venice to enjoy a romantic canal ride.

Head to the Venetian hotel to enjoy a relaxing float on a gondolier on the famous outdoor Grand Canal. Make it the perfect day date and pair the ride with a romantic meal at one of the Venetian’s delicious restaurants or bakeries overlooking the canal.

#9 Get driven in an exotic car at top speeds

You may drive an old Ford at home but when you are Vegas, you should not have to settle for anything but the best.

Spend a few hours driving laps on a racetrack in vehicles like a Ferrari, McLaren, or Lamborgini. Racing packages include driving lessons so you can learn professional driving techniques before taking the wheel. Contact us to book.

#8: Organized Pool Party

In Las Vegas, just because the sun is out doesn’t mean the parties have slowed down.

Indulge in your ultimate Spring Break fantasy at one of the various pool parties hosted at hotels up and down the strip. The drinks are flowing, beautiful people everywhere, music is bumping, and the sun is shining! Need we say more?

#7 Take a Las Vegas Dune Buggy Tour

When else in your life are you going to have the opportunity to play around in the sand in a classic dune buggy? Not very often, are you?

Get behind the wheel of one of these off-road beasts and rip through the Las Vegas desert with a personal tour guide. From a high-speed half-day tour to a full-day tour through the Valley of Fire, Las Vegas is THE place to test out one of these exhilarating vehicles.

#6: Las Vegas Scooter Car Tours

Las Vegas Scooter Tours promise to deliver a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Longer tours take you through some of the most breathtaking scenery surrounding Las Vegas, like the Red Rock Canyon national conservation area. Shorter tours, meanwhile, show you the best of downtown Las Vegas and the strip.

See all this from the comfort of a 2-passenger, 3-wheeled scooter car as the automated tour guide points out areas of interest. Driving one of these is an experience on its own!

#5: Take a Zipline Tour

Imagine taking in the Las Vegas skyline while traveling through the sky at speeds of 50 miles an hour.

Sound too good to be true? Well, it’s possible with a zipline tour through Bootleg Canyon, located at the base of Red Mountain just outside of Las Vegas. The is also another zipline between the two towers of the Rio Casino & Hotel.

#4: White Water Rafting

With the rapids of the Colorado River right at your fingertips, it would be a crime not to take advantage of them.

Join one of the many white water rafting trips on the Colorado River as it passes through the Grand Canyon. In a single day, navigate heart-pounding rapids and take in breathtaking canyon views.

#3: Sunrise Hot Air Balloon

Soar high above the strip for an unrivaled view of Las Vegas and the surrounding landscape in a real Hot Air Balloon.

The 360-degree sunrise views are the perfect way to start your Las Vegas day.

#2: Las Vegas Skydiving

Can you gather the courage to jump out of an airplane? Las Vegas is a great place to give it a shot. With some of the most experienced jumpers in the world, jumping out of a plane at 10,000 ft never felt safer.

Or take the more conservative approach with an indoor Skydiving experience.

You’ll be happy you took the plunge and tried out skydiving in Las Vegas. We promise that the memories from the experience will overshadow the money you may lose gambling.

#1: Grand Canyon Helicopter Tour

What is grander than the Grand Canyon? Drinking champagne inside of it.

Take part in a Grand Canyon helicopter tour for a breathtaking ride from the Las Vegas airport to the bottom of the canyon for a champagne picnic. The experience may even inspire you to make a toast to your loved one, or perhaps even Mother Nature.

We hope these 15 things to do in Las Vegas during the day helped you decide where you’d like to go & what you’d like to see during your next trip. Travel safely & see you soon!
